Jumbo Romania assigned Entersoft the implementation of WMS in the company’s large state-of-the-art distribution centre in Popesti with a total of 78,000 sqm. The Distribution Centre serves the Jumbo stores in the broader area as well as all e-shop orders. A total of 8,000 Pick by Light operate in the Distribution Centre for mail order products as well as conveyor belts. The whole system can exceed 10,000 orders per day in productivity.
Meanwhile, Entersoft recently delivered the WMS implementation of the new 40,000 sqm distribution centre in Krajowa to live operation.
Today Jumbo’s presence in Romania consists of 17 stores, which make up for more than 20% of the group’s turnover. The aim is to develop 8 more stores to reach 25 stores by 2026. At the same time the physical stores are constantly strengthened with the e-shop and investments in its state-of-the-art distribution centre.
